Junior Payroll Assistant

Role:                   JUNIOR PAYROLL ASSISTANT

Location:             Limerick

 

Junior Payroll Assistant – Limerick – 1-year Contract
The purpose of this role is to assist in the administration of our client’s Time Management System which is live on all our client sites. This role will facilitate the calculation of wage payments based on TMS readings. Additionally, the candidate will assist with the weekly processing of payroll. This role is to join an established Payroll team in our Limerick office.

 
 
KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assisting weekly payroll for up to 850 employees at peak periods
  • Reporting to the Finance Department and to the payroll manager
  • Collection of data in conjunction with senior payroll assistant
  • Collating information from Time Management System and reviewing the clock records for accuracy
  • Transfer of data to payroll systems to ensure correct hours and wages are allocated
  • Transfer of data to Labour Agencies and Sub-Contractors to ensure correct hours are allocated and invoiced
  • Liaising with Departmental Managers to confirm accuracy and approval of time management records
  • Calculation of premium payments and relevant deductions for all staff
  • Reporting on any errors to senior payroll assistant or payroll manager
  • Ensuring accurate information on TMS system, point of call for queries and completion of system reports.
  • Create Biometric profiles for any new relevant personnel
  • Intermediary between sites and clock supplier for new site set-up
  • Other payroll queries which may arise
  • Other ad-hoc duties as may arise
  • Some site visits/travel may be required 

 

Requirements:

Candidates should have a diploma qualification in payroll or have previous payroll experience

Ideally candidates should be familiar with using a TMS system for payroll and wage calculation 

Previous office environment experience

Previous payroll experience, ideally using a TMS

IT proficiency with time management and payroll software packages

Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a similar environment

 

Our Client has requested that all applicants should hold citizenship of EU or EEA member state OR have permission to reside/work in the Republic of Ireland without the need to obtain, renew or change the status of a Critical Skills Permit/VISA.
